Bahrain Airport Company, Gulf Air, and Gulf Aviation Academy celebrate Bahrain National Day

Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operator and managing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), the national carrier Gulf Air, and Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA) jointly celebrated Bahrain’s National Day and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s accession to the throne with a series of events and activities. In attendance were senior management and hundreds of employees from all three companies.

The celebration featured dance performances, falconry displays, photo booths, and traditional crafts, including basket weaving and pottery. Bahraini entrepreneurs showcased their products at a dedicated exhibition and local food truck vendors offered a variety of cuisine alongside traditional cooking stations.

BAC Chief Executive Officer, Mohamed Yousif Al Binfalah said: “Bahrain is a Kingdom where progress flows socially, economically, and politically. Under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad, the country has taken significant strides towards achieving the sustainable development goals laid out in its Economic Vision 2030. With the launch of the new Passenger Terminal Building in 2020, BAC and its partners are looking forward to contributing further to the Kingdom’s growth and development.”

Mr Al Binfalah added: “National Day brings together nationals and residents alike in celebration of the Kingdom that we are all lucky enough to call home. It is an excellent example of the welcoming nature and renowned hospitality Bahrain is known for. We are looking forward to carrying over this spirit at the new terminal, which is designed to reflect the Kingdom’s unique character and deliver a comfortable, hassle-free travel experience.”

As part of the National Day celebrations, Hala Bahrain joined BAC team members also greeted passengers departing from BIA.
